My work explores the complexity of the human condition through expressive figuration, fragmented memory, and emotional immediacy.
I paint as a way of processing and externalizing feeling—often combining bold, raw forms with highly detailed natural subjects, most often human figures, to anchor emotional content in something physically recognizable.

Many of my compositions deliberately isolate subjects from traditional settings or spatial context. This detachment reflects a conscious choice to elevate the figure or emotion, making it feel larger than life—dislodged from narrative or expectation. In some cases, this separation also acts as a kind of prevarication: a purposeful withholding of clarity. Even when the meaning isn't obvious, the intent behind each decision is present. Nothing is accidental.
Ultimately, I aim to create a visual language that feels honest—artifacts of lived experience, emotional residue, and fleeting memory. Whether tightly rendered or impulsively made, each piece is a kind of journal entry: open-ended, unresolved, and deeply human.
